Type I Members: Medicare Certified Home Health Agencies
Type II: Licensed Only (Private Duty) Home Health Agencies

 

TAHC Board Representation: 

Type I Members have 3 Board seats and are eligible to run for 5 Officer seats on the Board.

Type II Members have 1 Board seat and are eligible to run for 5 Officer seats on the Board.

 

Home Health Advisory Group: This Volunteer Group meets at least quarterly to discuss state/federal legislative/regulatory issues; develops recommendations on new priorities each year and implements those related to home health; develops education programming for two Conferences; and reviews issues arising during the year affecting our Medicare certified home health agencies and private duty agencies.

 

Representation: TAHC liaisons with the National Association for Home Care (NAHC) on federal laws/rules affecting home health. TAHC retains the law firm of Butler Snow LLP to lobby state laws/rules during the Tennessee General Assembly. We participate in a 16-State Medicare Coalition with Palmetto GBA to focus on member issues throughout the year.

 

Information: Both federal and state information is communicated to Members via electronic communications. Members are encouraged to communicate via our online legislative contact center with elected leaders. A membership newsletter offers timely topics in an abbreviated document that paints the BIG PICTURE of homecare issues at the state and federal levels. Listserve postings alert Members of new issues as they occur.

 

Education: Two (2) Annual Conferences; monthly teleconferences; on-site workshops; and cosponsored events throughout the year keep you and your staff compliant with requirements with operation guidance and ideas to grow your business.

 

Referrals and Marketing: TAHC Members are listed in our online Membership Directory which is used by referral sources, consumers, payers, etc. to find quality providers in Tennessee. You will have the opportunity to update your listing throughout the year to reflect changes in contact information; services or service area.
