Membership Information

“Why should I consider membership with the Tennessee Association for Home Care?”

Membership with the Tennessee Association for Home Care is the most effective way to get your voice heard within the home health care industry. The strength and future of home care lies within our members.

Through membership with our association, you will have many opportunities to network with your colleagues, be part of the decision making process which effects your industry and keep informed of the latest developments in home care.

The Tennessee Association for Home Care represents certified and private duty home health agencies, hospices, HME's and infusion companies throughout Tennessee. Our Board of Directors and many standing and advisory committees work diligently to keep the membership informed of changes in the home care industry and to provide representation for our members.

TAHC serves as liaison between the home care industry and other agencies committed to the health and well-being of Tennessee’s citizens. We have relationships with national associations, legislators, government officials, accrediting bodies, payers, and consumers. We retain lobbyists to represent your interests daily in the State Legislative Session and provide you with a weekly State Legislative Report during the session. The association also holds membership in the National Association for Home Care.

TAHC initiated a Membership Listserve in February, 2001, to provide timely information to members via email and provide an opportunity for members to network and exchange information through the listserve technology. Weekly newsletters are posted to the listserv and timely alerts are announced ‘as needed’. Members also may communicate with each other on questions/issues affecting their businesses.

In addition, TAHC offers its members top-notch educational programs, conferences and workshops. We are affiliated with the Home Care Information Network (HCIN) to provide you with video streaming workshops year-round. We continually strive to provide our members with topics that will educate, inform and prepare them for success in the future. Members will save money on attending the Spring and Fall Conferences offered annually and many other training sessions held throughout the state each year.

Eligible organizations must be engaged in the delivery of home care through certified home care services, private home care services, home pharmacy/infusion services, home medical equipment services, or hospice services to qualify for a regular membership.
