NEW Study Released on Value of Medicare Home Health Services

Avalere Health just released an in-depth study that confirms patients who received Medicare home health services soon after a hospital discharge SAVE Medicare over $1.71 billion in care expenditures. The study also determined that an additional $1.77 billion in savings is possible if other patients in the study had used home health services. The study focused on patients with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Diabetes.

You, your children, grandparents, neighbors, friends and business associates can use home care, rather than go to a hospital or nursing home. At this time, the only services not provided in the home are surgery and some diagnostic tests.
